Anger and You

You are invited to a two-day seminar on the skill of anger management through the MyDiscover Model on Emotional Competence and Independence.

  • This seminar will be held Fri., Feb. 18, from 7:00—8:30 p.m. and Sat., Feb. 19, from 12:00—1:30 p.m. at MyDiscover Inc., Hampstead Professional Park, Suite B-5, Hampstead NH 03841.
  • Attendance is limited.
  • The seminar fee is $60.00.

When a person experiencing anger does not manage it appropriately he or she suffers, and so do relationships with family members, coworkers, supervisors, and customers. In fact, angry people tend to be more isolated and less fulfilled in all of their relationships.  And if anger is managed incorrectly it can exact a severe toll on physical health.

Alternatively, a person who manages his or her anger avoids black and white thinking (e.g., “never” and “always” statements), uses effective communication skills to share feelings and needs, checks for possible compromises, and assesses what is at stake when choosing to stay angry or handle the anger. Managing anger is a skill that constructively results in an increased energy level, effective communication, strengthened relationships, improved physical and mental health, and augmented self-worth.

This seminar is offered through MyDiscover Incorporated, a New Hampshire based 501-C(4) Nonprofit that advocates for community wellness and safety, and presented by Peter Stone, MA,CART,CPT,CAS a local, nationally recognized expert on cyclical anger-based hostility, entitlement-based coercive domestic power and control, and addictions.
