Call For Action: Establish Ethical Standards for Anger Management Programs

As a consultant for the Anger Management Training Institute in Huston Texas, I know the value for providing efficient anger management classes for those who need it when they need it the most and that is on demand.  In such cases, there is value in providing online anger management education, training, and counseling.  Professionally, my organization keeps it simple and sticks to face-2-face programs.  However, in review of the world-wide-web, the top three online anger management outlets: Anger Management Training Institute, Anderson & Anderson, and A.J. Novick Group are in competition with one another.  Generally speaking, competition is a good thing, however when ego is enmeshed with personal agenda, competition is a bad thing.  It has come to my attention that one such outlet, the A.J. Novick Group is involved in what I would call unfair practices.

We all have heard of Google Ads.  This is a program where an outlet like the three listed pay Google to advertise whereby establishing top ranking.  When you click on these sites, the outlet is charged for you viewing their site.  Any organization that participates in the unethical and unprofessional practice of clicking on the competitors site with the agenda of increasing that competitions overhead should be stopped; but by what and by whose standards?  Standards for providing anger management programs do not exist, and they should.  At MyDiscover Inc., as a nonprofit organization we advocate for fair practices in enhancing community and citizen safety and wellness.  I ask that you join me and contact your Legislator and urge him or her to write and pass a bill (at least in the State of New Hampshire) to ensure that all who provide anger management services are on the same page as far as ethical and professional practices.
